Dr. Holldrid Odreman PhD, RN
Research Lead & Principal Investigator
I am the founder and Principal Investigator of ONSET (Odreman’s Nursing Scholarship Education Team), where I provide strategic vision and scholarly leadership and oversee all research conducted by the team. In this role, I mentor team members and student volunteers, ensure scholarly rigour, and advance nursing education research that directly informs teaching practice and patient outcomes.
In addition to my research leadership, I serve as the Program Coordinator for the Honours Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Niagara College’s School of Nursing. I am also certified as a Canadian Nurse Educator, a Canadian Simulation Nurse Educator, and a Simulation Certificate Program Instructor with the Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing (CASN).
I hold a Ph.D. in Education with a specialization in Adult Education Leadership and Healthcare Education, as well as a Master of Science in Nursing Education. With over 25 years of professional and academic experience in teaching and learning, curriculum design, evidence-based nursing practice, and educational research, I have contributed to the art and science of teaching and learning across a range of academic and professional roles. Key areas in which I have become an expert are:
Curriculum design
Evidence-based practice in teaching and learning
Simulation-based learning
Clinical teaching
Faculty and staff professional development
My research areas include adult education, program leadership, effective learning strategies, nursing leadership, curriculum design, and simulation-based teaching and learning.
